Many of us have been facing various different challenges over the last few months but particular our Key Workers. This is to say thank you to them all. I believe some JCOL-ers are Key Workers themselves so thanks to you too.
Here is a musical challenge: to record yourself playing a solo over a blues which changes key every 12 bars. I have created two versions of a backing track which both start in concert F and go up a semitone each chorus (see chart for sequence of keys). The chord sequence is a major blues (rather than a minor blues). There is a "swing option" and a "funky option".
As with our previous project I would like to encourage you to try using various licks and jazz language (especially blues scale). The JCOL resources "lick bank" now has an abundance of blues scale and minor pentatonic material.
